AIM OF WOODBINE FLORET PUBLIC SCHOOL

The aim of Woodbine Floret Public School is to provide quality education in every sphere. We follow English as the medium of instruction and expose the children to a variety of physical and mental activities, to gain in all round development. Equal emphasis, however, is also given is Hindi and Urdu.

We try to develop in children a social consciousness so the they grow up as “worthy citizens of India”.

DISCIPLINE

Discipline is the crux of any education system. So if a child is found to violate any norm of the school, we do check, and try to make the child understand the need to observe the norms of the school.

Along with school discipline we make efforts to imbibe in the child as sense of good manners and general etiquette so that the child takes pride in following the norms of this school.

We believe that punishment should be corrective and not humiliating for the child. So parents are requested to see that children enter the school gate ten minutes before the school time and attend school regularly.

METHOD OF EDUCATION

Our method of teaching is in conformity with the mental age of the children and thus varies from class to class.

The system of education is far from being rigid and a relaxed atmosphere is maintained throughout. Continous and Comprehensive Evaluation System (CCE) as per C.B.S.E. norms is followed in the school.

ART, GAMES & DRAMATICS

Music, dancing, drawing and painting are as important to the children as the three R’s (reading, Writing, Arithmetic). The instruction and teaching in these fields is such that the children will grow upto appreciate the finer aspects of life and be proud of rich and varied Indian heritage.

Drawing and painting classes focus on self expression, while the children are given basic guidelines in the particular art. By exposing the child to these arts the child is given a chance to exercise his originality and creativity. This in turn helps the development of his self confidence.

The school has Physical Training Instructors for Physical and Health Education apart from Work Experience and General studies Classes for Secondary/Senior Secondary students.

SCHOOL ROUTINE

ASSEMBLY is held in the open air where children learn to pray and take their pledge.

Periodical physical examinations (atleast once year) are conducted in the school by child specialist Dr. Hameeda Tariq, DCH, MD (Paediatrics). If a child is not upto the mark in physical fitness or cleanliness e.g. having lice in hair or skin rashes etc., he or she is advised to stay at home till he or she is completely fit. We believe “health is Wealth” and “Cleanliness is next to Godliness”.

TEACHERS

Teachers are selected with special care. They have the knack to deal with “psychology” of each child with care and precision. They are qualified and specially trained in the sphere. Others are just born teachers.

PARENTS
